So Sad
Jingle Bells, 11/1992-12/2009
Yesterday was a mixture of joy and sadness. We are so happy that our oldest daughter flew in yesterday for a visit. We haven’t seen her in over a year and we miss her dreadfully. But yesterday also had a lot of sadness for all of us. Our kitty, Jingle Bells, passed away. We got her the week after Thanksgiving in 1992 when she was just a tiny kitten. We were so lucky to have her with us for 17 years. We are putting up the Christmas Tree this weekend and it’s going to be bittersweet for me. She loved to lie beneath the Christmas Tree on the tree skirt and it used to irritate me because I would have to clean off all the cat hair from it before we could put the presents under the tree. All of our pictures from every Christmas for the past 17 years has Jingle Bells in it. She was always right in the middle of the kids unwrapping the presents, they would drape her with ribbons and wrapping paper and she loved it. Goodbye sweet kitty.

Stumble it!

That is so sad. You know I don’t like cats, but Jingle Bells was Ok and always seemed to like me when I was there. She will be greatly missed!!!

It is always hard to lose a member of the family.

So sorry to hear about your kitty, what a great name. I had two and I still miss them. A mother daughter duo who hated each other and you better not be in the middle of them when the fighting started. They lived to be 18 and 21. RIP to all great kitties of the world.

Awww… I’m so sorry about Jingle Bells - I love her name and she looked so cute in your picture. I am a huge cat fan but only have a dog right now but am on the hunt for the perfect new furbaby to add to our family. Sending you and your family lots of hugs for your loss.

Your title says it all. Jingle Bells looks so much like my first, and most beloved, kitty, PooCat. I feel for you; losing a beloved pet is devestating, and so many people don’t understand.
My current cat, Spooky, is also one who loves sleeping on the tree skirt, underneath the tree. Our tree would just look naked if she weren’t there.
I’m so sorry for your loss, but I hope you can take some comfort in your memories of Jingle Bells.
