We won’t let a little thing like President’s Day stand in the way of Meow Monday. Maybe it’s delayed a little, but we’re here. I checked on Oreo to see if he was wearing a stovepipe hat and sporting an Abe Lincoln beard, but no such luck. Apparently, he’s on strike, taking a break. But if you stop by Small Town Mommy you can see some past photos of Oreo before he became so full of himself, went on break.
Speaking of lazy cats (not that Oreo is lazy), here is our Mean Coon Cat Kimmy. If the basement door isn’t open enough for her to fit through, she will sit there until one of us walks over and opens it enough for her to fit her emormous self through the door. It seems that it’s too much effort for her to reach one of her huge paws over and push the door open wider. We could just ignore her and let her figure it out for herself, but her litter box is down there and I don’t want anything standing in the way of her using her litter box.

Today’s Pet of the Week from Lollypop Farm is Tobi.
Tobie
Tobie is a 10-year-old female cat who is front declawed. She has been at Lollypop Farm more than once through no fault of her own! Tobie is a quiet and gentle girl who loves to sleep in her cat bed and loves getting attention (although she prefers not to be picked up). She would do best in a quiet home. Tobie is eligible for the Seniors-for-Seniors program, so adopters age 60 and older can take her home free of charge! Tobie would make a wonderful companion.
I’m getting later and later posting Meow Monday. I hope Oreo and Small Town Mommy don’t mind. They started Meow Monday and are nice enough to let us participate.
George wanted a special picture in honor of Valentine’s Day

Also, don’t forget our Pet of the Week from Lollypop Farm!
Emmaline, #14356014

Emmaline is a 2-year-old cat who is available at Lollypop Farm’s adoption center at The Mall at Greece Ridge. She was brought to the shelter with her five kittens after they were abandoned. The whole litter has been adopted, and now it’s Emmaline’s turn for a new home! She has lived with other cats and with kids of all ages and did well with everyone. She’d make a great companion!
Time for a little Meow Monday.
Go visit Oreo over at Small Town Mommy.
He might be gloating over the Giants Superbowl win just a bit.

George didn’t want to talk to the media today so we ended up with his “Talk to the Paw” pose.
Although he was happy to hear that Magpie was adopted!
Which brings us to “Pet of the Week“
Marsha
#14887903
Marsha is a beautiful 1-year-old cat who was brought to Lollypop Farm after being found as a stray in Wayland. Lollypop Farm staff don’t know anything about her history, but they say she’s a wonderful cat! Marsha loves to play and is fun to watch as she bats toys around! She likes being held and she will start purring right away! Marsha likes getting attention and is a very sweet cat.

Lollypop Farm Pet of the Week
It’s Monday and that means we join Oreo, from Small Town Mommy, for a what he calls Meow Monday.
One of George’s favorite pastimes is to help J-Man with his homework.

Sneakers
#12085138
Sneakers was seized in the Riga cruelty investigation in 2010 and had to
wait more than a year before the courts turned over custody of the animals
to Lollypop Farm. Sneakers is an independent kitty who likes to watch
everything that’s going on. When he’s ready, he seeks you out for petting
and attention! This sweet boy is 8 years old and eligible for the
Seniors-for-Seniors program, which means that adopters age 60 and older can
take him home free of charge!
Somebody noticed that Sneakers bears a striking resemblance to Dewey the Library Cat and when you put them side by side you can really see it.
I may not be able to dress my cats up like Oreo from Small Town Mommy, but they still like to join him for Meow Monday.
We think poor George was taken away from his mother too soon or else he has a fleecy blanket fetish. Every time he is tired he finds one of our fleece blankets and acts like it’s his mother. If it’s quiet, you can even hear him making sucky noises. It’s just lovely when you grab a blanket to cover up and it’s covered in cat slobber. I’m pretty sure he’ll never outgrow this habit and we will always have blankets covered in cat spit. Good thing he is so darn cute.

Since all of our cats came from Lollypop Farm, we like to promote an adoptable cat each week for the Pet of the Week.
This week we have Mr. Toad.
Mr. Toad is a 6-year-old longhaired cat who was seized in the Riga cruelty investigation and can’t wait to find a loving home. He is a beautiful, mellow boy who likes getting attention. If you’re 60 or older, you can adopt Mr. Toad free of charge through our Seniors-for-Seniors program! But he would make a great companion for cat-lovers of any age.

Mr. Toad really deserves a home of his own!
It appears that all my cats have taken the day off and apparently so has Oreo from Small Town Mommy. Even though my cats are AWOL we still have a wonderful cat from Lollypop Farm looking for a home on this Meow Monday.
Here is Panda, the Pet of the Week
Panda is a 2-year-old female cat who was brought to Lollypop Farm with three other cats. They have been adopted, so Panda hopes that now it’s her turn! Panda was brought to Lollypop Farm because her family felt that they didn’t have enough time for a cat. She is playful, likes people and cats, and has a cute meow. Panda has lived with dogs and kids before, but she seems to be scared of dogs and may prefer a home without them. Panda has extra toes on her front paws. This occurs in some cats and makes their feet look like little mittens! You can visit Panda at 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450.

He really is a special cat and if he could talk, he would be happy to tell you that himself.
I had a lot of wrapping to do before Christmas and really needed help getting it done.
Snuffy came to my rescue.
No wonder it took me so long to wrap everything!
Snuffy is adorable and such a sweetie. He came from
Lollypop Farm 11 years ago.
We are really hoping that Magpie gets a home of her own soon.

Magpie
Magpie told Santa that all she wanted for Christmas was a home and family to love her! She’s been in the shelter since March!!!! I think it’s about time for her wish to come true, don’t you?
Magpie is a lovely kitty of about 7 years. She has intense golden eyes and her fur is incredibly shiny and soft. Magpie was brought in to Lollypop Farm because her owner could no longer care for her. Magpie is a friendly and mellow kitty who has been supervising our work in staff offices (she’s not interested in helping get the work done, however). She has made it clear she does not prefer the company of other cats, so she’d be a great only pet.
Since Magpie is 7 years old, she is eligible for the Seniors-for-Seniors program where a pet 6 years and older is free of charge to approved adopters age 60 and older.
Magpie’s Feline-ality assessment revealed that she’s Sidekick. Like all sidekicks, I’m just plain good company. I like attention, and I also like my solitude. I don’t go looking for trouble, but I’m no scaredy-cat either. If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, look no further.
Please help us get a home for Magpie!
Our cat from last week, His Royal Majesty, has been adopted!
We are a bit late for Meow Monday. I’m thinking I should call this one “Ow Monday”.
As you may already know, Meow Monday is a day we pay homage to a certain special cat, Oreo. He let’s Anne from Small Town Mommy live with him. He really rung in the New Year in style.
Because today was more of an Ow Monday for me, I don’t have any fancy pictures of my cats. I do have a picture of our Pet of the Week from Lollypop Farm. Sounds like today’s cat would give Oreo a run for his money.
His Royal Majesty
#12443916
His Royal Majesty is a 5-year-old cat who is at Lollypop Farm for the third time this year through no fault of his own. He was originally found in Marion as a stray in February, and since then he has been adopted twice and brought back because the other pets in the house did not like him. This handsome gentleman has a beautiful sleek coat, giving him a very majestic look. His Royal Majesty is looking for a home that will provide him the love and attention he deserves as kitty royalty. He is a very confident cat and does well with dogs, but might do best as the only cat. He loves to play with his toys, but he’s also content to lounge around and relax while watching the birds out the window. Come meet him today

It’s Monday and that means it’s also Meow Monday.
No Christmas at our house would ever be complete without our cats. They love the paper and the ribbons and The boxes. Especially the boxes. We gave the cats their presents first thing Christmas morning. Maybe that wasn’t the best idea. The cats really enjoyed it, but it was a little crazy around here for a while.

Once the catnip wore off, they all slept like they had been on a 5 day bender.

- Catnip Coma
Nothing woke them up.

Meow Mondays were started by Anne at Small Town Mommy in honor of her superstar kitty Oreo. He is kind enough to let us join in as long as we give him proper credit.
This summer we introduced George the kitten to our family. Our other 2 cats have slowly come to love, like, tolerate him.

Oreo has graciously agreed to share his Meow Monday with cats that are available for adoption at our local shelter Lollypop Farm. Each Monday we will be featuring a Pet of the Week
Here is our first kitty that needs a home.

Missy (#12697067) is a 6-year-old cat who was brought to Lollypop Farm, adopted, and then brought back by someone else after being found as a stray once again. She hopes that her next home will be for good! Missy LOVES being petted and getting attention. She seems a little uncomfortable in the shelter and would really love to find a home for the holidays. She is a beautiful tortoiseshell cat who would make a wonderful companion. Come meet her today!
